NBA 2K League team Magic Gaming has announced a partnership with non-profit health care system AdventHealth Medical Group.
As a result of the deal, AdventHealth will become the team’s official health care provider, as well as its jersey sponsor.

Jay Riola, Senior Vice President of Strategy & Innovation at Orlando Magic, spoke on the partnership in a release: “Magic Gaming is thrilled to have AdventHealth join our partnership family. AdventHealth is one of the most forward-thinking, innovative health organisations, and we are eager to learn from their expertise to help improve our players’ performance and health.
“Just like in traditional sports, we believe developing healthier habits is key to building success in Esports, and we look forward to strengthening and energising our community and our team.”
According to the release, AdventHealth will have a strong visual in-game presence in matches played by Magic Gaming. Moreover, the two organisations seek to collaborate on activations designed to ‘inspire health and wellness to fans and the broader community.’

With the announcement, the health care provider also becomes the official health partner of Magic Gaming’s sister teams in traditional sports, namely Orlando Magic (NBA), Lakeland Magic (NBA G League) and Orlando Solar Bears (ECHL).
Sean McCann, Doctor at AdventHealth Medical Group, added: “As medical providers, we’re focused on delivering care to Magic Gaming players that’s centred on whole-person health – just as we are for all our patients at AdventHealth.”
Esports Insider says: Magic Gaming was one of the first esports organisations to prioritise the well-being of its athletes by signing a health partnership with Orlando Health in 2019. Since then, a handful of health-focused partnerships with esports orgs have popped up, yet it’s nowhere close to becoming a standard, as it should in the industry driven by professional athletes.
