How to Use Our Betting Odds Calculator

Whether you like to bet on esports, football, basketballs, or something else, our sports betting calculator can show what the potential payouts of your wagers look like.

While you can use it just as a simple payout calculator for win singles, our neat tool also works out multiples as a parlay calculator. We show how and explain how you can do this for both types of wager below.

Single Bet Calculator

If you want to figure out the returns on any single, then just follow these three simple steps:

  1. Pick Single Bet as the bet type.
  2. Enter your stake in the Bet Amount field.
  3. Pick an odds format from American, Decimal, or Fractional.

Our tool then automatically fills in other odds formats, but also show you the Implied Odds (or probability) as a percentage, as well as your profit in the Win box and your Total Payout. If you need to start over for any reason, then just hit the Reset button.

Example: Single Bet Payout

Let’s say you wager $100 on the San Francisco 49ers to win their next NFL games at +110 on the moneyline:

  • Set your Bet Amount to 100
  • Enter +110 under American Odds

The calculator then shows:

  • To Win: $110 profit
  • Payout: $210 total returns (including your $100 stake)

Parlay Calculator

Calculating potential returns off a winning parlay is easy as pie with this tool. Follow these six simple steps:

  1. Pick the Parlay Bet Type
  2. Enter the number of legs in the Number of Bets field.
  3. Input your total stake in the Bet Amount field.
  4. Enter the odds for each leg in the Parlay Leg boxes
  5. You can use American, Decimal, or Fractional odds.
  6. The bet calculator then automatically displays your combined Parlay Odds, plus your total profit in the To Win box.

Example: 4-Leg Parlay Calculator in Action

You make a $10 parlay bet with these four legs:

  • NFL: 49ers to win at +110
  • NBA: Celtics to cover the spread at -105
  • NHL: Maple Leafs to win at +120
  • Soccer: Leeds United to win at -120

With a parlay, successful picks from each leg roll on to the next. If all your of these win, then your winnings accumulate into a big payout, even from small stakes. Every leg in the parlay must win for a return, however. If even one loses, then the whole wager fails.

Our parlay calculator shows you:

  • To Win: $155.37 profit
  • Payout: $165.37 total return (profit + original stake)

Implied Odds

Implied odds or probability show you how likely any bets you make are to win, but in a percentage rather than using traditional odds formats.

You can also use implied probability for checking whether or not there’s any value in a betting line. Because our calculator shows you the chance of a wager winning as a percentage, that can help decide if the available odds at online sportsbooks match your expectations.

For example:

  • -150 odds = 60% chance
  • +200 odds = 33.3% chance

Our bet odds calculator does all the math automatically, whether you build a parlay bet or go for the win single.

Odds Formats Explained

If you want to convert odds, then our betting odds calculator can do that for you, seamlessly switching from American to Decimal and/or Fractional odds right away.

They are the three most common odds formats that you might use an odds converter for in sports betting, but our neat tool has them all covered.

Here’s how the same bet would look in each of those formats:

  • American Odds: +300
  • Decimal Odds: 4.00
  • Fractional Odds: 3/1

American Odds: Standard in the United States

  • +200 means you win $200 (profit) from a $100 bet, so the total return is $300
  • -120 means you must bet $120 to win $100, s the total return $220

Decimal Odds: Standard in Europe, Canada, and Australia.

  • Shows you your total returns for every $1 you bet, including your stake
  • 3.00 = $3.00 back for every $1 bet

Fractional Odds: Popular in the UK and Ireland.

  • 2/1 = win $2 for every $1 you stake
  • 1/2 = win $1 for every $2 you stake

It doesn’t matter whether you want to convert odds, calculate single bet payouts, or what your next parlay is worth, our betting return calculator does it all automatically.

Esports Betting Odds Calculator

The Esports Inside betting odds calculator isn’t just for traditional sports, so rest assured it works just the same on any esports bets you place.

Whether you wager on the underdog in Valorant or build some CS2 parlays, our neat tool gives you a fast way of discovering your potential profits and payouts. If you love Counter-Strike, then you can compare live CS2 odds prior to making any picks.

You can also compare live esports odds from other popular games or explore our recommended top esports betting sites if you want to wager on them.

Bet Calculator FAQs

What is a betting odds calculator used for?

Esports Insider’s betting odds calculator allows you to work out potential profits and the total payout based on your stake and the odds. You can use it for both win single bets and parlays, also known across the pond as accumulators.

Can I use this as a parlay calculator?

Yes, our sports betting calculator is a fully functioning parlay calculator. All you have to is switch it into “Parlay” mode, then enter your stake and the odds for each leg, and it instantly reveals your total profit and payout as a whole.

How do I convert odds to probability?

If you want to convert odds to probability, then all you have to do is enter your odds in any format: American, Decimal or Fractional. The Implied Odds box in our calculator then automatically shows you what the win chance of any bet looks like as a percentage.

What’s the difference between Decimal, American, and Fractional odds?

They reveal the same thing to you, namely how much your payout is, but in different ways. Decimal shows your total returns per $1, American uses plus/minus values for underdogs and favorites, respectively, and Fractional tell you the profit per stake.
