Tundra Esports has won Dota 2’s DreamLeague Season 28 after defeating Aurora Gaming 3-1 in the Grand Finals.
With that, the London-based organisation has secured the lion’s share of the tournament’s $1m (~£747,000) prize pool.
Tundra Esports was one of 16 teams competing in DreamLeague Season 28, which ran from February 16th to March 1st, 2026.
The organisation was invited to the tournament after placing runner-up in the ESL Pro Tour leaderboard at the time, following its performance in Season 27.
What Happened At DreamLeague Season 28?
Tundra Esports began its run in the Group Stage, facing top teams such as The International 2025 champion Team Falcons, runner-up Xtreme Gaming, and Esports World Cup 2025 winner Team Spirit. Tundra Esports placed runner-up, with four wins, two draws against MOUZ and Xtreme, and one loss to Team Falcons.
In Group Stage 2, Tundra Esports placed runner-up once more with a 5-2 win/loss ratio. Meanwhile, Aurora Gaming, which topped its respective group in the first stage, placed third in Group Stage 2 with a 4-3 win/loss ratio.
The playoffs saw Tundra Esports defeat Team Liquid, The International 2024 champion, 2-0 in the Upper Bracket Finals, punching a ticket to the Grand Finals to face Aurora Gaming.
In the Grand Finals, Tundra Esports claimed first blood after winning the first two matches. Aurora Gaming held on after winning the third match, but Tundra Esports prevailed in the end to win the final game.
Tundra Esports leaves DreamLeague Season 28 with $250,000 (~£186,700) in player prize money and $40,000 (~£29,870) in club rewards. Additionally, the club has secured 5,010 ESL Pro Tour Points, skyrocketing to first place on the 2025/2026 leaderboards.
Tundra Esports Continues to Excel in Dota 2
Tundra Esports’ win in DreamLeague Season 28 is the latest of many successes in the Dota 2 scene. It has continued to establish itself as one of the top rosters with various high placements in Tier 1 events.
Notably, Tundra Esports has secured BLAST Slams, winning five out of the seven Dota 2 tournaments held so far. During 2025, the team also placed fourth in the Dota 2 tournament during the Esports World Cup, and placed between seventh and eighth in The International 2025.
With DreamLeague Season 28 concluded, the ESL Pro Tour sets its sights on ESL One Birmingham 2026. Tundra Esports, along with 16 other teams, will once again compete in the UK to secure a cut of the events $1m prize pool.
