Every Americas representative opened VALORANT Champions Shanghai with a clean 2-0 series victory, sending G2 Esports, NRG, LOUD and 100 Thieves into winners’ matches where a single win locks in a direct playoffs spot.
The run started with G2’s win over TYLOO on the opening day and closed out four days later when 100 Thieves dispatched T1. Across those four separate group-stage openers, not a single Americas team dropped a series.
Four Series, Four Sweeps
G2 got the run started, beating TYLOO 2-0 after a tied first half on Lotus before running away with it 13-6, then closing out Sunset 13-3. Trent led the way with 38 kills, 17 deaths and 20 assists across the series, posting 287 ACS, 174 ADR and a 91 percent KAST, while Valyn and BABYBAY both finished with 24-plus kills.
NRG opened its title defence with a 2-0 win over Masters Santiago champions Nongshim RedForce, taking Lotus 13-5 before closing out the series without needing a third map. Mada, recovered from a recent wrist injury, led NRG with 34 kills, 23 deaths and 16 assists for a plus-11 kill differential, with brawk and keiko each adding 32 kills.
LOUD swept EDward Gaming 2-0, finishing the series on Summit 13-5. Tkzin headlined the win with three aces across the two maps – a record for a player’s debut at VALORANT Champions – finishing with 47 kills, 24 deaths and 7 assists on 321 ACS and 208 ADR.
100 Thieves survived a tighter contest to beat T1 2-0, taking T1’s own pick of Summit 13-8 before closing out Ascent 13-9. Cryocells led the series with 45 kills, 23 deaths and 6 assists, backed by 283 ACS, 169 ADR and 86 percent KAST, while Asuna alone put up 22 kills on Ascent.

Stakes And Standings
The four wins are spread across all four groups: 100 Thieves in Group A, LOUD in Group B, G2 in Group C and NRG in Group D. That means every Americas side now sits one win away from confirming its place in the playoffs bracket, rather than needing to survive a lower-bracket run through the rest of the group stage.
For 100 Thieves, the sweep of T1 extends momentum built during its Americas Stage 2 title run, and it sends T1 into an elimination match instead. The result also fits into the broader question of which region is setting the pace at this year’s championship, a discussion that the Champions Shanghai field was always going to invite given the strength of Americas’ seeding.
