TYLOO's withdrawal from a HyperX Retake Season 13 quarter-final in Lisbon has left their PGL Major Singapore invite in doubt on cutoff day. In Europe, fnatic are shut out of the last CS2 Major of 2026 after the final weekend's results went against them.
One walkover in Lisbon looks set to decide Asia’s line-up for the PGL Major Singapore.
One forfeit settles Asia’s five Singapore places
Neither TYLOO nor Lynn Vision is expected to play again before the cutoff. That leaves the Asian race effectively over.
The Lisbon event was a Valve Tier 2 tournament run by Hyped and PEW PEW. It ran from 29 October to 1 November with 13 teams and a prize pool of €12,187.50. Groups were GSL-format best-of-threes, followed by single-elimination best-of-three playoffs. TYLOO are listed in joint fifth to eighth place.
IEM Beijing is a far bigger draw on paper. ESL is staging it from 2 to 8 November at the Bloomage Biotech Biohyalux ECM Arena. It is S-Tier and Valve Tier 1, with 16 teams playing for $1,250,000.
TYLOO were not alone in stepping away from Lisbon. Natus Vincere also withdrew, and the organisers cited the same Beijing commitment for both teams. For NAVI, the withdrawal leaves their Major chances unchanged. They had until 19 October to pull out, but were still registered after that deadline. The Lisbon event overlapped with PGL Masters Bucharest and finished less than a day before IEM Beijing began.
After the win over 9z, the team’s points already looked sufficient, according to TYLOO coach WeiJie ‘zhokiNg’ Zhong. By that stage, they had no choice but to play the Retake event. Before IEM Beijing, he also spoke about Dongkai ‘Jee’ Ji’s recovery and the problems the team has faced this season.
100 Thieves take Europe’s last place as fnatic miss out
Europe holds 18 of the 32 Singapore invitations, one more than it had at Cologne. The six highest-ranked eligible European teams in the 2 November standings go straight into Stage 3.
The fight for the final European spot went to the last weekend. The European VRS now places 100 Thieves 18th. Elsewhere, HOTU finished second at GLuck Moscow Cyber Games.
That was bad news for fnatic. Before the final, they sat 18th in Europe with no matches left. Their only route in was a 100 Thieves defeat and recalculated standings falling their way. Neither happened.
Moscow Cyber Games still produced a Major qualifier. Winners 1win earned a Stage 2 invitation to Singapore.
PGL set 2 November as the cutoff so the most recent results would shape the field. The weekend’s results did exactly that. The Singapore Major runs from 24 November to 13 December, with 32 teams and $1,250,000 in prize money.
